==Early life==
Verma was born in Delhi. His family originally hails from Sikandrabad, Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling from South Delhi Public School and later completed graduation from Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, where he met his wife, Tulika. Both of them lost their parents at very early age and their common grief brought them closer.〔
